Weekend Notes from One Artist to Another ✨🎨
.
Every weekend, I give myself space to just create—no pressure, no rules. If you’re just starting out—or even if you’re somewhere in the messy middle—here are a few things I’ve learned from weekends spent in paint, thread, and gold: (and stay sane 😄) in the early days:

🖌️ Begin before you’re ready.
I used to wait until I “felt inspired”—but honestly, just picking up the brush taught me way more than waiting ever did. Start messy. It’s okay.
🎯 Choose one simple goal.
Some weekends, I only aim to add texture. Or finish a background. Progress is progress, no matter the size.
🧵 Touch your canvas—literally.
I’ve learned that art isn’t just paint. Try adding fabric, thread, or metallic leaf. Let your fingers feel the story you’re telling.
🌈 Let color lead you.
Don’t overthink it. Some of my favorite pieces happened when I chose colors just because they felt right in the moment.
📸 Take photos—even of the ugly stages.
The halfway points can be weird, but looking back, they’re gold. It’s where the growth shows.
💬 Don’t compare—connect.
This one’s big. In the beginning, I felt behind. Now, I talk to artists, ask questions, share honestly. We’re all figuring it out. You’re not alone.
